Holding Grudges
Week 50: Dec 10th – Dec 16th
Bible passage to read: Ephesians 4:31-32
Holding grudges is a result of lack of self-love, when you are filled with love, grudges can’t be exists in your heart. Love overcomes all bitterness; it keeps you in every relaxed mood. To prevent you from the pit of the devil you must be prepared to erase all aspects of grudges in your life. The Lord God who we worship his loving, Jesus Christ preached about love, therefore it is a most that you and I live with love and despise all manners of grudges.
Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
And be ye kind one to another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you. (Ephesians 4: 31-32)
The Lord has given every one of us the knowledge to live a grudge free life, holding grudge is a habit that must not be associated with Christians, because it is part of the characteristic of the devil. Holding grudges will eventually lead to frustration and loneliness; people will gradually move away from you if you refuse to show love. Jesus preached about love, he aim was to try to bring everyone together as one, but most people have failed to acknowledge his effort and they are living in complete bitterness, and roaming around in darkness. People end up in confusion because they are ignorant towards instructions, the Lord has made it obvious in his word “And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12:31), when you refuse to love others it will hinder you from the blessings of God, therefore you have to be affectionate towards others, I believe a loving heart is filled with joy.
We Christians must learn to be our peaceful; to keep us on the right side of God commandments. Peace making inspires and empower to us to get along together successfully. When you practice peace every manners of grudges with be broken, a peaceful person as the ability to prevent wraths and temptation. It is essential that Christians realize that holding grudges is a forbidden act, Christians should be associated with great things, we are the light world, and there is light darkness must flee, we are the confidant to everyone that seeks for salvation, therefore our life style must be purified, and are thoughts towards other as to be good. Children of God; are thoughts towards others determine what we are either good or bad “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: ….” (Proverbs 23:7) the thoughts you conceive in our hearts proves what you are, the outward appearances means little, but what you think in our hearts reveal are true character. God cannot be deceived, he sees your minds and he knows your thoughts, you may pretend to love to other; whereas your heart is fulfilled with hatred “But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7), put away very manner of deceit, the Lord is cannot be mocked. Learn to love you neighbours as our self and you will not fall short of the glory of God.
