Blemished sacrifice

Week 32: 6th Aug 2018 – 12th Aug 2018

Bible passage to read: Malachi 1:6

“A son honoureth his father and servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honors? And if I be a master, where is my fear? Saith the LORD of host unto you, O priests that despised thy name? Ye offer polluted bread upon mine altar; and ye say, the table of the LORD is contemptible”. Malachi 1:6-7
Sacrifice of thanksgiving: Before the birth of Christ, the world was corrupted and the Israelites went against the doctrine of God, and they failed to perform their responsibilities as God made creatures. The purpose of us humans is to praise and worship God, but the Israelites failed to embrace their duties and they neglected the word of God. They did not value the Lord’s position that was why they gave him blemished sacrifice of thanksgiving.
The Lord has great intentions for all humans why is why he deposited beautiful talents in each individual. God has given us dominion over every creature on earth, but most people fail to acknowledge his awesomeness. God in his infinite mercy sent Jesus Christ to prevent his people from their mischief and sinful deeds. The bible makes it clear to our understanding that: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son” (John 3:16). Jesus Christ was sent to save the world, through his death and resurrections, the law of sacrifice was filled, which is why modern Christians most not give sacrifice but offer thanksgiving. The death of Jesus was to open the gates of heaven to all believers “the blood of Jesus Christ his son cleanseth us from all sin” (1st John 1:7), this is a great reason for all believers to offer thanksgiving to God. The Lord donated his only son for the benefit if we humans, why do we refuse to honor him appropriately? Why don’t we give him the thanksgiving he deserves? Many people fail to acknowledge the worth of God. Many praise him reluctantly and show little appreciation towards his wondrous work. As Christians it is important to understand the value of thanksgiving and having thankful heart. Giving thanks show the sign of life that is growing by the knowledge and inspiration of the words of God. Christians must give thanks willing to prove that we recognize and appreciate God. By doing this, your way of life will please God and he will definitely meet you at your point of needs.
Thanksgiving is the key to break through, deliverance, redemption and cleanse all sins, giving thanks is so important that the word thankful appeared numerous times in words written by the apostle Paul. When you are thankful it proves that we recognize the existences of God and this act shows that we acknowledge is grace and wonders in our life. When you embrace the words of God you will definitely understand the principal of thanksgiving giving. The Psalms encourages us to continuously giving thanks “Enter into his gate with thanksgiving, and into courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name” (Psalms 100:4). The Lord appreciates thanks giving Thessalonians 5:18 says “In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you”. Failure to give thanks and offer thanksgiving to God results to serious consequences, it disrespectful to God and it hinders the blessing of God in once life. “When they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened” (Romans 1:21).

Brethren in Christ constantly honor God with befitting thanksgiving and his blessings will never be derailed in your life.
