Free Spirit

Week 4: 22nd Jan 2018 – 28th Jan 2018

Bible passage to read: Psalm 51: 1-5

Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (2nd Corinthians 3:17)

God exists in the trinity; God the father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Whichever way God exists, he always shows himself as the mighty father; he has no limitations at any time! The Bible confirmed this in the book of Genesis chapter one, verse two that the Spirit of God can also roam about in darkness because there is no one to stop him there.

It doesn’t matter where you live or stay, God can exist anywhere. All you need do is to desire the Spirit and make your soul be receptive to it. Then, the Spirit will transform your mind in order to directly affect the way you are thinking, walking, talking and relating to the individuals around you.

“Do not banish me from your presence, and don’t take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me again the joy of your salvation, and make me willing to obey you” Psalms 51:11-12 (NLT)

King David was one of the few Old Testament People that experienced New Testament life. Can you imagine that David already knew that there was something called the Holy spirit even before Jesus came into the world; such a wonderful man of God. David enjoyed all these New Testament benefits in the Old Testament because he walked with the Lord.

The Bible says that whenever the Spirit of God is, there is liberty. Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Freedom that brings liberty. No one can ever experience the Holy Spirit and remain in bondage because the Spirit of God is dynamic. When you have the Holy Spirit, you will begin to think and act beyond your horizons.

Holy Spirit is not just a part of the Trinity; he’s a personality that needs to fill our soul and directs our actions at all times. Holy Spirit doesn’t follow protocols, he decides on each situation in a different way. And this is the reason why many people’s lives are still lacking the free spirit because they thought that the Holy Spirit will follow a particular rule to set them free.

Holy Spirit does not have limitations; he can work beyond our limitations when we least expected and this is the reason why many people still do not believe it. Do you belong to the group of people who pay more attention to the doctrines of their church at the expense of the flow of the Holy Spirit? If yes, then you need to change.

The next step after being born again is to be baptized by the Holy Ghost. Allow the Holy Spirit to spice up your Spiritual life.  Don’t live in isolation, stop striving to make things work in your life. Rather, learn how to depend on the Holy Spirit for guidance and directions in your day to day life and you will be surprised at the level of assistance that will be rendered to you. May the Lord bless you as you do so.
