Fasting in CCC? And what is the difference between Hallelu”YAH” & Hallelu”JAH”
I recently heard a teaching that we don’t need to fast in cele except for passion week. Even if it is true, it may have been so from the beginning because of the grace given to Papa Oshoffa, he was like our bridegroom (just as Jesus in Luke 5:35). But now he has been taken away, so shouldn’t fasting be something that we encourage even more?
Another question.. during passion week we change our Hallelu”YAH” to Hallelu”JAH”. How come? What is the difference? Is it not the same word with different pronunciation and spelling?
- Response to the question on halleluyah and hallelujah
They are the same thing but two different things. When it is Halleluyah it is about the “Lord God.”
When it is hallelujah it is about the “Lord God of Hosts, God of the armies of Heaven.” It is still the same person but different personalities.
When it comes to Hallelujah it is about war and about victory.
When it comes to Halleluyah it is about a simple show of praise.
- Response to question on fasting
How many places in the New Testament did we read of anyone fasting?
Even though Jesus said “when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days”
Jesus also said “I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.” Matt 28:20
Like Jesus said the above Papa also said “a thousand years we will be doing celestial together.” He said this is because he will be transformed into an archangel of light.
So if that is so there is no missing link. Therefore we no longer need to fast with the exception of passion week because Jesus is still with us and Papa Oshoffa is with us. Why do you want us to fast?
